What's needed for a
successful program?
|
In April 2007, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson signed into law a measure that seeks to increase the use and production of biodiesel in his state. The bill requires diesel fuel sold in New Mexico to contain 5 percent biodiesel on or after July 1, 2012. Diesel purchased by state and local government and public schools must be B5 after July 1, 2010 and before July 1, 2012. In the fall of 2008 the DOA will initiate efforts on regulations to implement the 2010 mandates. Currently the mandated usage is suspended due to the availability and price differentials.
