In December 2005, the Essential Baking Company sold off its entire fossil-fueled delivery fleet and is now leasing 13 biodiesel-powered trucks (that they fill-up with B99), which are used for all bakery deliveries.  Peter Miller, President and CEO said that aside from the rising costs of traditional fossil fuels, switching to a biodiesel delivery fleet stemmed primarily from the company's socially responsible and ecologically friendly philosophies.
